The Syrian elasmosaur

The most complete Syrian elasmosaur. Artwork created for the work of Alhalabi and colleagues (2024) describing a partial vertebral column of an elasmosaur. This and other marine animals lived in the shallow seas that is now the Arabian Peninsula about 86 million years ago.
